  • Timewalking Classic Dungeons: Do old dungeons from early WoW expansions with the modern scaling system.
  • New Mounts and Cosmetics: Earn the Blizzard Employee Service Award mount and other exclusive rewards.

The 20th Anniversary event runs from October 22, 2024 to January 6, 2025 so you have plenty of time to get into the festivities and earn rewards.

Dracthyr Class Expansions

Dracthyr Class Expansions

One of the big changes in 11.0.5 in World of Warcraft: The War Within is the expansion of the Dracthyr race to new classes. Originally only available to the Evoker class, Dracthyr can now spread their wings to other roles including Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Mage, Warrior and Warlock.

  • Starting Level: New Dracthyr characters start at level 10.
  • Visage Form: Players can switch between Dracthyr and Visage forms in combat using the Chosen Identity feature.
  • Racials: Abilities like Wing Buffet and Tail Swipe have been rebalanced for these new classes.

With these new classes players can try out different playstyles and enjoy the flexibility of the Dracthyr race, with unique looks and power.

Dungeons and Raids Update in WoW: The War Within Patch Notes

Dungeons and Raids Update in WoW

In World of Warcraft: The War Within (TWW) we have made big changes to dungeons and raids, especially for soloing older content and Timewalking rewards. These changes are to make older expansion content more accessible and refine the reward system in Timewalking dungeons and raids. Below is the breakdown, in tables for your convenience.

Adjustments to Old Raids Mechanics

Raid encounters from Battle for Azeroth and Shadowlands have been made soloable or small group friendly. This means players can now complete older raid content without needing a full group, which was previously required to defeat certain mechanics.

Raid Expansion Changes
Battle for Azeroth Mechanics adjusted to allow completion by solo players or smaller parties.
Shadowlands Mechanics adjusted for solo or party-based completion as well.

These changes help soloers of older raids and gives more flexibility to complete content from previous expansions. This means you can now collect transmog gear, mounts and achievements that were previously solo impossible.

Timewalking Dungeon Scaling and Badge Rewards

Timewalking dungeons in WoW TWW have been updated. The scaling system is now aligned with Chromie Time, so enemies will scale to your level, not the level of the dungeon. This means a more personalized challenge across all level brackets and Timewalking is more fun!

Timewalking Dungeons Changes
Scaling System Now uses Chromie Time, scaling enemies to the player’s level.
Non-End Dungeon Bosses Now drop 10 Timewarped Badges.
End Dungeon Bosses Now drop 20 Timewarped Badges.

Scaling enemies to player level means all players, regardless of level, will face the right challenge in Timewalking dungeons of World of Warcraft. More Timewarped Badges means more reason to participate in these events.

Timewalking Raid Scaling

Timewalking raids in the game have also been updated. Same Chromie Time scaling system and rewards adjusted for non-end and end bosses. More Timewarped Badges to encourage you to Timewalk raids of The War Within.

Timewalking Raids Changes
Scaling System Uses Chromie Time to scale enemies to player level.
Non-End Raid Bosses Now drop 20 Timewarped Badges.
End Raid Bosses Now drop 50 Timewarped Badges.

By scaling difficulty to player level and increasing Timewarped Badge rewards, Timewalking Raids now offer more challenge and more reward. So you get more value from running older raid content through Timewalking.

The changes in The War Within expansion brings more flexibility and rewards to both Battle for Azeroth and Shadowlands raid content. And the Timewalking scaling and badge rewards rework gives you a more personalized and rewarding experience when you Timewalk. Whether you’re a solo gamers looking to run old raids or a badge farmer, these changes are a big improvement to the game.

Items Update in WoW: The War Within Patch Notes

Items Update in WoW

In World of Warcraft: The War Within (TWW) Patch 11.0.5, there are many item changes and rewards. This makes it easier to collect transmog appearances and get proper rewards from old events. These changes are to improve the overall game experience, especially for those who collect appearances or rewards from older expansions.

Non-Cosmetic Class-Restricted Gear Changes

One of the big changes in this patch is that non-cosmetic class-restricted gear appearances can now be collected by any class. Previously these appearances were class locked but now you can unlock them across different characters, regardless of class.

Update Details
Class-Restricted Gear Appearance Can now be collected by any class.
Retroactive Changes This change applies to all gear in banks or inventories.

This is great for WoW transmog collectors as it opens up a lot more appearances across characters. By making it retroactive, you can now access appearances you couldn’t before in your inventory.

Quest Reward Appearances

Another change is for quest reward appearances. You will now auto collect all non-cosmetic appearances from quests even if your class can’t equip those items. This is also retroactive so any quests you’ve already completed will grant these appearances.

Update Details
Quest Reward Appearances All non-cosmetic item appearances are now granted regardless of class.
Retroactive Application Applies retroactively to previously completed quests.

This removes the frustration of missing out on appearances because of class restrictions when questing. Now you can focus on unlocking and collecting all appearances regardless of your class at the time of quest completion.

Jigglesworth Sr. Mount Update

The World of Warcraft community has been asking for this for a long time, and you will now ride Jigglesworth Sr. with a narrower stance. This small but nice change makes using this mount better.

Update Details
Jigglesworth Sr. Riding Update Players now ride Jigglesworth Sr. with a narrower stance.

This small change makes the mount look and feel better for players who use it often.

Achievement Rewards for Mists of Pandaria: Remix

WoW Players who missed out on some of the Mists of Pandaria: Remix achievements can now get those rewards from Mistweaver Ai on the Timeless Isles. So you won’t be left out because of the event bugs.

Update Details
Achievement Reward Claim Rewards from the Mists of Pandaria: Remix event can now be claimed.
Mistweaver Ai Location Found in Timeless Isles, offering achievement rewards.

This fixes the issues players had during the WoW Mists of Pandaria event so everyone gets the rewards they earned, adds fairness and completion to the event.

Dragonflight Season 4 Appearance Fixes

Also, there was an issue with WoW Dragonflight Season 4 appearances where some players weren’t unlocking alternate versions despite using the right items. This has been fixed so using items like Gleaming Incarnate Thunderstone, Obsidian Aspectral Earthstone, or Emerald Blossom Dreamstone will properly unlock the alternate appearances.

Update Details
Dragonflight Season 4 Appearance Fix Fixed issue preventing alternate appearances from unlocking.
Affected Items Gleaming Incarnate Thunderstone, Obsidian Aspectral Earthstone, and more.

With this fix you can now unlock the intended alternate appearances and have more consistency and reliability in your transmog collections.

The War Within patch brings item appearance collection, mount riding and achievement rewards updates. The focus on retroactive and appearance unlock fixes makes life better for transmog and collection achievement players. This ensures that your collection efforts are respected and supported with fair and accessible mechanics.

Talent/Ability PvP Adjustment
Elemental Overloads Damage bonus reduced by 50% in PvP combat
Arc Discharge Lightning Bolt/Chain Lightning damage bonus reduced by 50% in PvP combat

By reducing these bonuses Shamans are brought in line with other classes so they don’t one shot other players in PvP.
